The second generation’s Apple iPod Touch is worth buying. Apple has tried to make iPod Touch look better. They have also added some features to it for just $229. Although it has the same touch screen, plays music and videos and includes the wireless connection still the device is worth buying as it costs lesser than the previous $299 iPod Touch.

The difference in the new iPod with the previous is that it is a lot thinner than the previous Touch. It measures 4.1 inches by 2.4 inches by 0.33 inches and weighs just 4.05 ounces. Where the updated iPhone has a glossy plastic back which can break anytime there the new iPod has a stainless steel casing.

If we give the iPod sound quality a miss, there certainly isn’t much praise left to be delivered upon its earplugs. Nevertheless, Burton Technologies, with Acoustibud Earphone Adaptors, are close at hand for rescue.

Acoustibud turn Apple's white ear buds into in-ear sonic isolating earphones and there silicone adaptors fit directly on to Apple-style ear buds, using acoustic horn methodology to capture sound waves from the speaker driver, transfer them through a converging cone into a transition area that fits snugly inside the ear. Here on, the sound waves move into a second diverging cone and gradually into the ear canal. Cool!

MySpace chief executive Chris DeWolfe in a press interview revealed that the company may soon develop an MP3-playing device with an aim to rival the iPod.

Without elaborating on any plans, he shifted his focus onto the recently-launched MySpace Music service. "Right now we're just focusing on a service," he said. Speaking about MySpace Music in relation to MP3 players, DeWolfe said: "We wanted to come up with a program that meets the needs of music companies and artists, by definition, and users.

If one doesn’t own an iPhone then here comes all the more reason to go for it. The touch Arcade mobile developer ZodTTD has announced an attractive offer of free iPhone port of the classic Quake FPS game which will be in the iTune Apps store very soon.

\This will be compatible with the iPhone and iPod Touch of all versions or firmwares 2.0+. The accelerometer support which was included earlier has been disabled in this revision, reason being it was difficult to play the game while maintaining the positions needed for Quake. After the approval has been made by the Appstore, it will be updated to include network play, mods, other contents that needed to be downloaded and more. This version has apt support and land orientation.

According to the Times of India investigators found out that an iPod was used to steal data. The picture cleared when a construction firm lost its bid through a close margin from its rival. It seemed as if the rival had known the figure to beat. Very soon forensic tests revealed that a Universal Serial Bus (USB) had been used to access the documents and from the tests they discovered the data had been downloaded.

A similar case happened in an IT company where the software security code was stolen. When people know that an iPod has been used to steal the data still no proper action were taken against it. On the other hand if an iPod can be used to steal data then it can obviously be used to secure data.

It was on October 23, 2001 that Apple announced in a press conference in Cupertino, California about his new product- iPod. This happened after the Apple co- founder Steve Jobs returned to the company. Initially the iPod priced $399 now it has come down to something that permits your wallet.

People were not satisfied to pay such a huge amount for such a small piece. Moreover after hearing its features they thought it to be merely an MP3 player. However Apple knew that once people hold it in their hands they will come to know the reality. The sleek design, rich sound will let them understand its value. Hence despite the price and the fact that it worked wonderfully with the help of a Macintosh, the iPod became the soul of every heart. Apple sold out 125,000 of iPod in first sixty days.
