The internet company Jajah has facilitated some features which can convert an iPod into an iPhone. Jajah competes with the other low-cost internet applications such as Skype and announced recently that it has come up with a new application that will allow iPod Touch users to call and text messages. This application can be used by using a Voice over IP network instead of a carrier’s cellular network.

One only needs a microphone headset and a Wi-Fi connection to start making calls using the Jajah’s application in the latest version of the iPod Touch. The Jajah service can reduce the calling costs up to 98 percent but the fact still remains that it needs a Wi-Fi network whereas the iPhone operates over a traditional network.
